LDS Brothers need a family.

I have been contacted by an LDS Family Services worker in Arizona.
They have a special case there that includes 3 brothers who's parents have passed away.  The Grandparents are currenlty caring for the boys.   The father passed away in 2002 and mother in 2006.  In 2005 the mother lost custody of the boys...they have been through much and are experiencing feelings of loss.   The boys are 13, 12 & 9.   They are hoping for an LDS Family.   The worker hopes to find a family immediatly so these children do not have to enter the state foster system.

If you are interested in more information please email me at cutefamilyof5 at gmail dot com.  I can forward you all I have been given.

Please let others know about this situation.
Thank You!

Speaking from personal experience, I'd be wary of this. This is a private adoption of children who have all the emotional setbacks of children in foster care--but without the resources and financial assistance that come with foster care adoption.

It is definitely a sad situation and I hope they can find their forever family. But anyone thinking of helping better be sure they have amazing insurance to cover the many needs these children will have, and a private adoption team. Unless something has changed recently, LDSFS isn't equipped or licensed to handle older child adoption.

Sorry to sound negative--I really do hope those boys find their forever family!

You make alot of sense. I have actually seen where the children end up going through the state for the adoption rather than privately just so they have the resources. I think going into foster care with a family already wanting you is a big plus. I guess the big question would be whether or not that particular state has great resources. I have no idea how this situation will pan out but it is worth a shot having a family interested and then seeing what the state can provide. :)
