I have been trying some new recipes for bread sticks and I found one I love love love!
It makes a very soft bread stick and when you add a little garlic and butter Ta-Da! You have a tasty addition to your spaghetti dinner or lunch salad.
You can find the recipe here.
I shape mine into twist sticks by rolling the dough into a large rectangle then cutting it down the middle and then cutting all way across each side to make approximately 16 pieces. I then cut each piece in half lengthwise. I then gently roll each of the two pieces and then braid them together.
After I place them on a greased cookie sheet I brush melted butter on each one and then add garlic.
Garlic powder works best.
Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese
(if you buy fresh like I do then just use a blender or your food processor to cut the cheese shreds into a powdery form)
I then add a little Kosher salt.
Don't overcook.
Last week I made these and then wrapped them in cellophane with a card stock wrapper and a cute label from Kolette Hall's website "The Art of Choosing Joy".
She designed the cute paper button that says "Just Because".
I Love it!
Then I gave it to a couple of friends.
Hopefully they enjoyed them as much as I do!
