Celebrating Camden

Today we celebrated Camden.
He turned 3 on April 17th.

Camden sitting on the table in the great hall of the statehouse. He is in the middle of saying to me "Your a cute chipmunk" as I snapped this picture. We call each other chipmunks...kind of a silly thing between us.
We drove down to Fillmore to have a little Birthday picnic.
We normally celebrate Cam's Birthday here at home and each year we have a special guest....Camden's Birth Mom, Samantha. She lives in Southern Utah which is a ways away from Utah County so this year we decided to pick a park that is halfway for each of us.
It was a very informal gathering....and unfortunately very cold and wet.

But most of all it was fun!
I wanted to share a few pictures for our fun birthday adventure!

The Cake.

The Dad and Uncle Ryan.
Brenley holding cute baby Jared....Samantha & Alex's son.
Samantha and Me.
Our birthday boy!

After the picnic we all went over to the historic statehouse which was the territory's first capital building.
It was more fun than I thought it would be.

Camden with his first "gun".

When we returned home Camden had one more present to open we accidentally left behind. He just had to open it with his new black & decker goggles on.
Our day started early and ended late in the evening.
It was one of those days where you feel so grateful to be a parent, to be part of a family who will drive 3 hours just for a picnic and you look around you and see what the Lord has blessed you with!
Today was a wonderful adventure!
special thanks for g&g H, uncle Ryan and Craig and Aunt Vicki.
for driving all that way!
And Sam...we love you and your cute family!!! Thanks for being there!

Everyone looks like they had a great time. I think it is wonderful that you have such a good relationship with your childrens birthmoms. I hope we will have the same experience one day.
