Live & Silent Auction Donations
The silent auction in the past has included gift baskets (e.g. cosmetics, lotions, movie nights with Blockbuster card, popcorn and candy, theater tickets, free family portrait sitting with a photographer, art work, etc.). The live auction is typically higher value items such as weekend getaways, bridal packages, larger art/sculptures, autographed memorabilia, and many other items. There is usually a minimum bid of $25/50 on the silent auction items and they usually go for around $40 to $100, depending upon the item/service. The live auction items normally go for $100 to sometimes several hundred or more, especially if the event is well attended and folks get caught up in friendly (rarely not-so-friendly) bidding wars and feel the spirit of what we are trying to accomplish.
