My week started off great!
I was meeting all of my goals each day....then Friday the pinched disk/nerve (whatever) started to remind me it is still there. I still kept moving but by Sunday I was in a chair often. Yesterday was better but again this morning I was in pain. After taking advil, resting it and then doing my stretches it started to feel better. I feel very frustrated with pain....I love working out and having that feeling that I can really reach my goals! But when the pain kicks in it is hard to not get discouraged. Tomorrow is a new day and I am going to make it count!
I have some new inspiration I want to share with you.
Her name is Becky. She has struggled with her weight most of her life but with alot of hard work she has lost 200 pounds. Becky doesn't live far from me but I had never met her. I got to met her today and give her a hug to say "thanks" for sharing her battle with the world on her blog. Take a moment and check out her story.
Balancing the Scale
Today I had to remind myself what my body has been through this past year (and beyond).
Truly.....it is holding up pretty well after all these years of stress, infertility, family building through adoption, fostering little children, getting up with newborns on a constant basis for 2 years (almost straight), and having a nicu premie. So many wonderful things in my life have happened over the past 16 years but Brad and I have been through alot. My body has been through alot both emotionally and physically. I am 100 pounds overweight (40 of that came on this past year with the help of some medicine...unfortunate side effect) but it could be worse. I think I am holding up rather well after so much. The best part is....I like who I am inside. I have been greatly blessed with many experiences and gifts. Now I just need to get my shell to match my insides.
lol
So the journey continues!

It was so wonderful to meet you and give you a hug. We all need a support system. Thanks so much for your sweet comments. I think the fact fact that I always loved "me" actually made me put off changing the outside for so long.
I watched "The Biggest Loser" last night after the Science Fair and Rulon actually bore his testimony pretty much about the importance of taking care of his temple. It was so moving. What he said is how I felt. I had forgotten my stewardship over keeping my body in shape. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you along your journey. Have a wonderful day!
Hi, I'm your newest follower by way of mormon.org
I clicked over and read Becky's story. Very inspirational.
You have a beautiful family.
