Last night sometime before 11pm I developed some very strong stomach cramps....you know the kind where you basically lock yourself up in the bathroom for hours. I tried to go to sleep in my bed on many occasions but found myself right back in the bathroom. By 3AM I decided to take a chance in hopes of having something to help me feel better. I put on my bathrobe and jumped in our van and headed to the Maverick station. Once inside I grabbed a bottle of Pepto-Bismol and 2 bottles of 7up. Once at the counter I counted my blessings that the guy who helped me looked just as scary as I did so I didn't feel so bad that I had that "just got out of bed" look. Once I paid my money I hurried home, driving and drinking pepto... hoping I didn't get start feeling worse along the way. The rest of the night I began to feel worse and by 7:30AM I was on the floor of my bedroom in tears because of the pain. Brenley saw me lying there and tried to do what she could for me....she covered me in a blanket, and after I went back to the bathroom she made me a little bed on the floor complete with two pillows, a quilt to lay on and a couple of blankets/covers. She had a little table set up next to this little bed that had my pepto, tums and 7up sitting on it along with a roll of toilet paper. Brenley was being my angel this morning.
While all of this was going on Brad had to run to make it to the appointment to get the van inspected. Sometime during all of this Brenley asked me if there was anything she could do for me. I replied "Say a prayer for me." At some point out of just pure exhaustion I fell asleep. I woke up and felt the pain in my stomach and didn't know if I could take anymore. I rolled over and tried to ignore the pain. At some point as I was waking up I realized the pain had been turned off like a switch. I wondered if I dared to move from that position...afraid it would start up again. I had a sweet thought come to my mind...it said "Someone prayed for you" and I knew that thought spoke truth and I knew that the prayer had been answered...my pain was taken. I fell into a deep sleep until 12:00pm.
Sometime this afternoon Camden said to me "Mom I want to tell you a special secret". I said "ok" and I put my ear next to his face. Camden then shared with me that earlier this morning Brenley, Camden and Haley knelt down and they held hands and said a special prayer for me. Apparently it was while Brad had taken the van to be inspected because they asked Heavenly Father to help their Dad get home safely as well. There are moments when you realize just how special your children are and how they are angels from heaven blessing your home each day....today that realization has fallen upon me and I give thanks to God for blessing me in such a incredible way! I also give thanks to Him for answering my children's sweet prayer and creating a miracle. I shared with Brenley my side of the story and we had a wonderful talk about miracles, prayers and a bunch of other things.
As I type this and get ready to publish this post the quote I mentioned in a post a few days ago comes to my mind again.
"if you live up to your privilege the angels cannot be restrained from being your associates."Joseph Smith
Today I am counting the prayers answered and the angels in my life!

I love the story you shared! It's amazing how close to heaven children are!
So sweet! Something similar happened to me last year but I ended up having appendicitis. I'm so glad you're okay! Next time you should call me and I"ll go get the Sprite and stuff for you!
