Using Valentines to help you adopt.

This is a picture of one of my little Valentines when she was 2.
She is wearing a cute valentine outfit her Birth mom sent her.
It was one of my favorites!

Valentines Day is right around the corner.
One great way to increase awareness that you are hoping to adopt is to send out a card or letter sharing your hopes with your family and friends.
Let them know how they can help you in your efforts.
Include your contact information and web profile address.
This would also be a great time to have a pass-along card to share.
Give them a few so they can have one but then also share some with others.

Another item that would be great to include would be a little dvd you put together with a special song.  If you have already adopted share pictures of the placement and other special adoption events you have had as a little family (finalization, temple sealing etc).  If you don't have any children or have never adopted but have biological children include pictures that show what makes your family special even if that means just pictures of you and your spouse.   Help your family and friends develop a testimony of adoption by touching their hearts through this dvd.
There are so many possibilities when it comes to what you can do to help yourselves.
Think outside and inside the box.
Pray for guidance....the Lord will bless you with inspiration.
Everyone likes to get a Valentine....take a chance and give it a try!
You never know how your life might change.
As my friend, Holly, reminded me while we were trying to adopt a 4th time...
"Your life can change in a day".
Long ago when we were hoping to adopt my motto on hard days was
"Every day we aren't blessed with a baby means we are closer to the day we do!"
Hang on to hope and move forward!
