Matching Mondays ~Katie age 16 is hoping for a family....lets help her!

As the warm days roll on we are getting closer to the beginning of the school year for some areas and other areas are starting their new school year this month.  Children in Foster Care have the same needs as all other children.....new clothes, shoes and school supplies.   You can donate these items new or gently used to the Utah Foster Care Foundation.  You can contact your local UFCF office to find out where to take your donations.

You can find your region's UFCF office by going to here
Click on the map for your area and it will take you to your region's web page.
If you live outside of Utah contact your local Department of Family/Child Services to find a donation location!
Every child wants to feel their very best when they start their first day of school.
This is especially important for children who are in care...their world has changed all around them.
We can help them have a great start at school this year!!!

Today I would like to introduce you to
Katie age 16!
Katie W.
Keeping active is a big part of this fun girl’s life, and she can often be found playing softball, soccer, or cheering on her team. With an interest in diesel mechanics and learning a trade through Job Corps, this ambitious lass has great plans for her future. Outgoing and personable, Katie has an easy time making friends and greatly desires to be part of a family.

Attending the eleventh grade this year, Katie is doing well and would excel from an academically supportive environment. She benefits from counseling, which will need to continue after placement.

Based on the Indian Child Welfare Act, the caseworker will give priority to all Native American homes. If your family feels that they can provide Katie with the consistency, love and support she needs, we urge you to inquire. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.

This is a LEGAL RISK ADOPTIVE PLACEMENT. In a legal risk placement, it is expected that the family will eventually adopt the child, even though the birth parent’s rights have not been fully terminated at the time of placement.

For Utah children, only home studied families from all states are encouraged to inquire.
You can inquire about Katie by clicking on her name above to go to her profile page or you can contact The Utah Adoption Exchange by calling:  801.265.0444

Please share Katie's information with others...lets help her find a family just right for her!
