*************************
I learned some new facts.
1. Some states don't place their waiting kids with families in other states...very often. A couple of these states are Arizona and New Mexico.
2. Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma and California do sent children out of state and are good to work with. (California does take a little longer to get services in place and adoption finalized.)
3. Sometimes when you are reading about a child it says that it is an at risk placement or that the parental rights haven't been terminated yet. This doesn't necessarily mean that they won't place the child with an out of state family....it all depends upon the caseworker, judge and situation.
Thanks to Kathy Searle for this great information!!!!!
