Flu Vaccines

Every year we all get the seasonal flu vaccination.
We have been blessed to not have any problems with the flu.
This year we will do this again but I don't know about the H1N1 vaccination.
Is it safe?
I worry about what happened back in 1976....they created a vaccine but it ended up causing nerve problems for people. So how do we know this will be different?
I am thinking our technology has come a very long way since then..at least I hope so.

Are you having your kids vaccinated with the h1n1 vaccine?
Why or why not?

I am really worried about Spencer....so tiny any flu could really affect him.
I would love to hear your thoughts.

Christal--That's a very good article! I hadn't seen that.

I generally support vaccines, but I don't feel comfortable with the h1n1 vaccine. I've had a bad feeling about it, and I always stick to my guts. I think people are just feeding into media fearmongering. We're staying away from the vaccine, but we're also staying away from people who obviously look sick (especially at church cuz for some reason people think that they'll get heavenly demerit points if they miss church for being sick, know what I mean? check out the other kids in your kids classes every week. if they look sick, just take your kids home--its not worth chancing it!) :)

Here is a link from Fox news. The doctor who spoke about h1n1 said he would NOT give it to his own children!
