Italian Dreams

I recently went to the movie "Letters to Juliet".
I really loved it!
You can read my review here.
I have always wanted to travel to Europe to see England, Italy, Scotland and Ireland specifically.  Italian is the only language I have ever had a huge desire to learn....I am not sure why but I have felt this since I was a teenager.   I have a friend (Hi Bethany!) who went to Italy on her LDS Mission.  I wish I could have been a mouse in her pocket.   She has amazing stories and has shared a couple of great recipes with me that she learned while on her mission.  I also have a childhood friend who lives in Italy with her hubby and family.  I see her pictures and wish I could "skadoo" into them and see the landscape in real life.   I realize this isn't possible...and I also realize that chances are I will never make it to Europe.  *sigh*
So in honor of my dreams of visiting Italy in person I am going to share with you one of the recipes my friend shared with me.
It is really not a heart healthy dish but it tastes really good!!!
Pasta:  I like spaghetti noodles best
Eggs:  Normally one per person
Bacon: 1/2 to a full package (cooked and cut into bite size pieces)
Parmesan cheese
Cream sauce
Cook your pasta, drain and return to pan.
Beat your eggs in a separate bowl and slowly add them to the hot pasta, stirring constantly.  (I like to keep my burner on low to help keep things hot).  The eggs will scramble onto your noodles.  Then add just a little bit of cream sauce (to your liking) your bacon, and top with some parmesan cheese.

Sounds a little different but it tastes so yummy!!!!
I am going to make this the day I buy the "Letters to Juliet" dvd.
Dinner and a movie date with Brad.   Kids will just need to go to bed early that night. :)
Shhhh... just don't tell the kids! :)

Brenda, we should totally plan a trip to Europe! I have always wanted to go to Austria, Greece and Switzerland. Jason and I are actually planning to go back to Italy when the Rome temple is dedicated. You and Brad should come. You would LOVE it!!! I'm glad you liked the 'heart-attack' pasta. It's one of our favorites. :)
