Amanda age 17.
If you’re lucky enough to be able to spend time with Amanda, you’ll instantly feel a sense of kinship with this young woman. She is a great listener, is a wonderful conversationalist, is a blast to be around, has a kind heart, and likes to help others feel confident and positive about themselves. A passion for animals and a love of writing are this teen’s greatest interests. Amanda has learned many constructive coping skills, and is good about asking for help when in need.
Amanda is attending the eleventh grade this year. She benefits from an IEP (Individualized Education Plan). She is currently in counseling, which will need to continue after placement.
A positive, stable, loving home is what Amanda is looking for. If your family can provide these things for her, we urge you to inquire. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.
This is a LEGAL RISK ADOPTIVE PLACEMENT. In a legal risk adoptive placement, it is expected that the family will eventually adopt the child, even though the birth parent’s rights have not been fully terminated at the time of placement.
For Utah children, only homestudied families from all states are encouraged to inquire.

Jacob age 17.
Future class president, football star, basketball star...the list is endless as we look at Jacob’s many talents. One will often find him involved in a game of football or basketball, or in basically any outdoor activity! Jacob’s caseworker says that Jacob is “...good with pets and great with children.” With an engaging personality, many find it easy to talk to Jacob as he is a good conversationalist. Always ready for a good laugh, Jacob loves to have fun and enjoys the company of others. Highly motivated to be successful in life, Jacob would like to go to college, and to someday own his own home and have a family. He is a hard worker who likes to stay busy and active. He has worked at the school as a math tutor. Keeping his room neat and taking care of his clothing and laundry are some of the things in which Jacob takes pride.

Isaiah, Malachi and Serenity ages 4, 3 & 1.
Isaiah is an adorable three year old boy with short brown hair and blue eyes. He stands three feet tall and is a solid boy. He has a hearty chuckle that can bring adults to tears when they hear it.
Isaiah is a people pleaser. He will go out of his way to try to do the right thing. This carries over in all aspects of his life, including with his caretakers, and his teacher at school. He seeks attention by performing. This can be in a positive or negative manner.
Isaiah is very friendly with those he is frequently around. He does best in one on one or small situations. He will seek cues from his caretakers when around new things. He will seek comfort from his caretakers for support, love, and reassurance. He warms up to others after repeated encounters.
Malachi is an adorable two year old boy with short brown hair and brown eyes. He stands just short of three feet tall and is of medium build. He has a hearty chuckle like his brother. He is a likeable child as described by his family therapist. His caretakers say that he is a true joy and can light up a room.

Serenity is an adorable one and a half year old child with curly brown hair that she wears in pigtails. She has beautiful brown eyes and slightly tanned skin. She has a warm smile and is very engaging with others.
Serenity is a very active child. She is curious about everything and loves to explore her surroundings, including the outdoors. She loves to dance and does the jig. Her current caretakers say that she has a million dollar smile. She has a great personality and loves to engage with familiar people. She loves one on one attention and seeks out interactions. She is not a snuggler but loves closeness.
Serenity has a strong sense of independence already at her age. She loves to do things by herself and will not seek help unless frustrated. She is persistent at getting her way and likes to test her boundaries.
Isaiah and Malachi have lived together since entering foster care. After Serenity’s birth, the three children lived together for nine months until Serenity was placed in another foster home to meet her individual needs. It is the agency’s intention to place Isaiah, Malachi, and Serenity together in an adoptive placement.
These children need caregivers who can commit to providing them with a level of parenting that is higher than what most children typically need. The boy’s caregivers need to guide them as they learn to regulate their emotions and behaviors, something that they struggle with due to the neglectful parenting they received before being placed into out of home care. The children must be provided with a consistent and safe home environment. An adoptive family would need to be a placement for all three children. The agency is looking for families who are open to considering ongoing contact with the other siblings and mediation with the biological parent.
NOTE: 2 parent household, patience, understanding, consistency and openness to contact with their siblings. Previous parenting experience is a plus, but these children need to be only children if possible.
